Akuammine / Akuamma

Tested Picralima nitida seed material for formulation, botanical R&D, and commercial product development.

Quality Botanical Imports currently supplies crushed Akuamma seed powder with batch-specific analytical testing for akuammine, the primary marker used to characterize the material.

QBI is also evaluating additional Akuamma ingredient formats for future commercial supply.

Current Qualified Material

Crushed Akuamma Seed Powder

The material currently stocked and tested by QBI is crushed seed powder, not a concentrated Akuamma extract.

Akuamma seeds naturally contain multiple alkaloids. QBI currently uses akuammine as the primary analytical marker for qualification and lot documentation rather than representing the material through a generic extract ratio or an assumed total-alkaloid specification.

Exact akuammine results are batch-specific and are provided through the applicable analytical documentation.

Analytical Qualification

Why QBI Uses Akuammine as the Primary Marker

Akuamma is a multi-alkaloid botanical, so analytical characterization requires more specificity than the botanical name alone.

Measured Akuammine

QBI has independently tested current seed material for akuammine rather than relying solely on a supplier description or assumed botanical composition.

Batch-Specific Results

Akuammine content can vary between botanical lots. Analytical results therefore apply to the tested material rather than functioning as a permanent fixed specification for all future seed supply.

Broader Alkaloid Evaluation

Additional Akuamma alkaloids may be evaluated as appropriate analytical methods and commercial requirements develop. QBI does not infer unmeasured alkaloid concentrations from akuammine results alone.

Under Evaluation

Akuamma Extract

QBI is evaluating concentrated Akuamma extract as a potential future ingredient format.

Extract material will not be represented as qualified or commercially available until representative material has been obtained, reviewed, and analytically evaluated.

Buyers interested in an extract format can contact QBI to discuss target specifications and anticipated commercial requirements.

Testing-Forward Sourcing

Potency and Quality Testing

Marker-compound testing and contaminant testing answer different questions.

QBI's Akuamma documentation includes analytical information applicable to akuammine content when available for the material being supplied.

Full contaminant testing is not represented as automatically applying to every inventory lot.

When a current full-panel result is available for the offered lot, it can be provided with the applicable documentation. For commercial orders of 1kg or more, additional full-panel testing can also be arranged when required, with laboratory testing charged at pass-through cost.

Additional Testing May Include

  • Heavy metals
  • Pesticides
  • Residual solvents where relevant
  • Microbial testing
  • Additional alkaloid analysis where methods are available
  • Other analyses appropriate to the intended application

Lot Documentation

Batch-Specific Documentation

Documentation available for Akuamma material may include:

  • Batch-specific certificate of analysis
  • Independent akuammine assay
  • Available contaminant-screening results
  • Botanical identification information
  • Country-of-origin information
  • Storage and handling information
  • Packaging and availability information
  • Additional supplier declarations where applicable

The documentation package may vary by lot, order quantity, testing status, and customer requirements.
